ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT AND
CONTROLLER, under the general direction of a Vice President is responsible for
fiscal planning and control operations of a large institution. Does related work
as required. Supervises budget, accounting, internal audit, and financial analysis
offices. Ensures that institutional and educational objectives are reflected through
budget requests and resource allocation plans. Oversees preparation of budget
and financial plans; coordinates all financial activities to develop systematic
accountability; translates long range planning decisions into resource terms with
alternative plans of adaptation; ensures that management has adequate reporting
system for deliberation of problems and decision making; oversees management analysis
program.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in Educational
Administration, Public Administration, or Business Administration and a satisfactory
number of years of progressively responsible experience in financial or budgeting
administration including three years in an institution of higher education.
