I love language, critical analysis, and all stages of the writing process. From brainstorming and outlining, thesis development, and argument building, to stylistic expansion, grammar and punctuation refinement, and citation reinforcement, I am here to help.

I particularly enjoy tutoring creative pieces that involve poetry or any type of prose writing. I also like helping students that have a vision and an idea of their final piece, but are having difficulty placing that idea on the page. I enjoy tutoring film critiques as well.

History provides the intellectual training to interpret and present information while at the same time learning about humankind. The ability to understand one another is a combination of powerful skills that all should possess.

My name is Ashley Fotopoulos and I am certified to teach English Language Arts 5-12 and Special Education 7-12. I am currently in the b-12 literacy specialist program. Teaching is my passion. I could not see myself doing anything else. I hope to help others in the same way my teachers have helped me.  I hope to be an inspiration and let my love shine through my work. Finally, I hope to one day earn my PhD and teach college! I prefer writing over reading, but do have a love for poetry!
