Opening Doors Retreat – Asbury Camp & Retreat Center, Silver Lake, NY

Overview

The Opening Doors Diversity Project will host a three-day retreat designed to facilitate positive change on diversity within individuals and organizations. The retreat begins at 10 am on the first day (November 13), and concludes at 3 pm on the last day (November 15).

Individuals interested in attending are eligible to receive a scholarship provided by the College at Brockport. Priority consideration for the scholarship will be given to applicants who articulate their intentions of implementing an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) research project, program, and/or instructional component here at the College, relating to or inspired by their retreat experience. Each project must relate to our campus EDI strategic plan goals.

There will be four recipients of the scholarship consisting of one faculty member, one staff member, and two students. The scholarship will cover registration, lodging, meals, and travel.

Participants that require financial support with forming an event pertinent to the Opening Doors Retreat may also request a PED Grant
