Quick Guide to the Service Now Portal

  1. Navigate to https://suny.service-now.com/

  2. In the campus drop-down menu, click on Brockport and then “Login”.

  3. Enter your Net ID and password to continue.

  4. At the home screen, you will see a number of topics you may click on. Choose the one that most pertains to your needs.

  5. On the left hand side of the screen, you will see a navigation bar. Depending on the type of account logged in, you will see a number of different options.

    1. Clicking on Incidents will bring you to your current tickets.
    2. Clicking on My Requests will bring you to your open requests.
    3. Clicking on My Requested Items will bring you to the items you have “ordered” from the Brockport Service Catalog.

  1. From your home page, click on the link labelled “Brockport Service Catalog” in the middle of the screen.

  2. Choose the type of ticket you would like to pursue (Hardware, Software, Telecommunications, Blackboard, etc…) or you can search by keyword.

  3. Click on the topic that most matches up with your request/issue.

  4. Fill in the “Requested for” field if you are requesting an item for someone else. To search by Net ID click on the magnifying glass.

  5. Fill in all of the applicable fields that pertain to your ticket. Be as detailed as possible.

  6. When you are done click “Submit Request” on the right side of the page.
