Brockport Improves to No. 58 in 2015 US News Rankings
College again ranked highly among northern universities in annual rankings
BROCKPORT, NY—The College at Brockport, State University of New York, has again been ranked highly in the annual US News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” guide. Brockport improved to No. 58 in the Best Regional University-North category, up two slots from No. 60 in last year’s rankings. Brockport is among the top 15 public universities on the list.
“Our success in the US News & World Report rankings can be attributed to our incredibly talented and dedicated faculty, staff, and students,” said Brockport President Heidi Macpherson, PhD. “I look forward to working with our entire campus community to continue our upward trajectory and, most importantly, ensure the success of our graduates.”
The US News & World Report rankings are tabulated based on an array of criteria, including graduation and retention rates, class sizes, the school’s reputation among peers and the academic profile of incoming students. An example of where Brockport excelled is that the College exceeded its predicted 2014 graduation rate by 10 percent.
“The State University of New York has historically offered students an affordable, accessible higher education that is second to none,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher. “As we work to bring the benefits of a SUNY education to even more students through our Completion Agenda, we are proud to see so many of our colleges and universities recognized by US News & World Report again this year.”
