Brockport Named a 2015 “Best College Value” by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance
College recognized for offering exceptional economic and academic value
BROCKPORT, NY—The College at Brockport, State University of New York, has been recognized for providing outstanding value to its students. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance ranked Brockport on its list of the Top 300 Best College Values of 2016.
Brockport ranks No. 278 on the magazine’s comprehensive list, No. 96 among public colleges and universities for in-state students, and No. 88 among public colleges and universities for out-of-state students. Brockport was one of nine SUNY institutions to be recognized.
“The College at Brockport is honored to have been recognized for the outstanding value we offer our students,” says Brockport President Heidi Macpherson. “We’re proud to provide a transformative educational experience at one of the most affordable tuition rates in the nation.”
Kiplinger assesses value by measureable standards of academic quality and affordability. Quality measures include the admission rate, the percentage of students who return for sophomore year, the student-faculty ratio and four-year graduation rate. Cost criteria include sticker price, financial aid, and average debt at graduation.
The complete rankings are now available online and will appear in print in the February edition of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, which hits newsstands Jan. 5.
