The College at Brockport Welcomes Vice President for Administration and Finance
James Wall joins the College August 1
BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The College at Brockport, State University of New York, today welcomed James Wall as its new Vice President for Administration and Finance. Wall begins his position today, August 1.
Wall retired from Conduent Inc. in January 2018 as chief financial officer for accounting and procurement services and has spent the past several months in a variety of consulting roles. He will succeed Lou Spiro, who has been serving as interim vice president since January.
“I’m delighted that Jim Wall will be joining The College at Brockport as our new vice president,” said Brockport President Heidi Macpherson, PhD. “He brings a wealth of experience in budgeting and management, as well as in procurement, strategic planning, and human resources.
“I also want to thank Lou Spiro for his guidance and support these past seven months. His good work has been invaluable in preparing the division to be successful.”
Prior to leaving Conduent, Wall spent nearly 40 years at Xerox Corp. in a variety of roles in both the United States and Canada, including director of North American finance and director of cost management.
"I am honored to be chosen to serve as the next Vice President for Administration and Finance at The College at Brockport,” said Wall. “This is a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to joining the team and meeting everyone at the College."
Wall received his MBA from the University of Western Ontario, in Canada. He is married and lives in Victor, NY.
