President's Welcome President Macpherson began PAC by showing a video from a Cultural Anthropology class at Kansas State that identifies who students are in a classroom.
U.S. News and World Report is out this morning and the College is in the top 15% in the northeast.
President Macpherson discussed IPEDS, and said that Jeff Lashbrook is collecting data now.
President Macpherson will send invites to potential Inauguration committee members. She is working on the theme and is open to suggestions. She has asked that the International Festival be held this week, and Sankofa will have performances that weekend and enforced her desire to keep the ceremony fiscally responsible.
The first Town Hall meeting is scheduled for 9/22 in Hartwell Dance Theater from 2-3:15.
President Macpherson discussed strategic planning – the process and the goals – and is open to ideas and suggestions.
The first open office hours hosted by the President will take place on 9/17 from 1-2 pm and she will be joined by Katy Wilson.
Budget Beau Willis provided information on core state operating budget and the enrollment numbers’ impact on the budget. He shared the 2015-16 Financial Management Goals.
President Macpherson asked everyone to think about what they can offer to help reduce expenses, and she asked PAC to think about how we budget things that can be done differently.
Undergraduate Admissions/Graduate Admissions Katy Wilson spoke about Undergraduate Admissions, ad provided information about the residential life occupancy report.
Mary Ellen Zuckerman spoke about the graduate admissions numbers, and Jamie Spiller discussed graduate enrollment strategies.
Mary Ellen shared information on International Education.
