Strategy Development:

Current campus planning efforts and other Strategic Pillar goals / strategies map to The Brockport Experience Transformation:

Transformation goal strategies are to be developed by:

  1. Cross-walking existing campus plans to Transformation Pillar goals (e.g. Accessibility is a both a FaMP and Diversity Plan objective that would directly feed into Great College to Work and measures of student satisfaction).
  2. Map Excellence, Engagement, and Community Pillar strategies to specific Transformation Pillar goals (e.g. Community Pillar – Engagement with Brockport and Rochester Communities)
  3. Perform a gap-analysis on each Transformation Pillar goal to identify areas requiring strategies (e.g. Economic Development Plan / Strategy for A Better Brockport for a Better… and Carnegie Engaged College designation).

  1. Charge a Sustainability Committee to perform a STARS gap analysis (academics, engagement, operations, and planning & administration) and develop a Sustainability Plan:
    1. Conduct greenhouse gas (GHC) inventory and reduction plan.
    2. Energy use master strategy to reduce building energy use, including EO-88.
    3. Conduct an inventory of sustainability course offerings.
    4. Support and reward faculty for incorporating sustainability learning outcomes in courses.
    5. Expand “Eco-reps” programs that engage students to serve as educators in peer-to-peer sustainability outreach.
    6. Establish sustainability planning that includes climate action plan, among other things.
