Who receives DARS reports?

All matriculated undergraduate students, except second-degree students who matriculated before fall 2007. Those students have pre-established Second Degree Contracts, which replace DARS reports as advisement documents.

Where can I get a copy of my DARS report?

New transfer students can view their DARS online (instructions are here) 2 weeks after receiving their acceptance letter. Continuing (returning) students can access their DARS reports online. From the Brockport home page, click on "Quick Links," then on Web Banner to log in.

What if certain transfer courses are not showing?

This may mean one of two things: either you haven't sent in a final transcript or that the transfer credit has not been processed yet. Check the "Important Notes" section on your DARS report; Academic Advisement will place notations here to indicate anything that we need to complete your DARS (for example, if it says "Monroe CC - Final" that means we need a final transcript from Monroe Community College before your DARS will show all transfer credit). If there are no important notes or you have questions regarding these notes, stop in or contact Academic Advisement.

What if transfer courses are not being assigned to requirements?

This is probably because the College at Brockport equivalencies are not specific enough to apply to major requirements. See the appropriate department with a Notice of Award of Transfer Credit form, which you can pick up in the Advisement Office. If the department will approve the equivalency, Academic Advisement will process the form and make appropriate adjustments to your record.

What to I do if the DARS report is wrong?

Students should come to Academic Advisement to speak with an advisor about the error. Advisement will research the problem and make appropriate adjustments.

Remember … It is your responsibility as a student to make sure your records are correct and that all degree requirements have been met.
