  • Jon - A marketing major who has interned within the College at Brockport’s Prevention and Outreach Services department as an assistant to the Prevention and Outreach Coordinator. Jon has also interned for the School of Business and Management through the School’s BUS 498 internship course as the Social Media & Marketing intern. “What has benefited me the most is the real world experience I have gained that cannot be found in the classroom. I have been able to practice working and communicating with professionals, and have participated in many networking and career development opportunities. I have enjoyed BCEC’s weekly discussion board topics in that they help me realize how my internship has affected me. In order to further my internship experience, I plan on attending the Disney College Program in California in the fall of 2014.”

  • Chris - Journalism and Broadcasting major with a concentration in Media Production and a minor in Business. Chris has interned as a producer for Rob Lucas in the Morning on STAR 102.5 at Entercom Buffalo, with Clear Channel Radio in Rochester as an intern for the Wease Show on 95.1 The Brew, and The Write Creative, creating radio commercials with the owner, Kurt Schenk. “My internship with The Wease Show was a stepping stone to a position at Clear Channel working part time as a promotions assistant and a position DJ-ing on the weekends for Kiss 106.7. Recently I was hired full time as the Morning Show Producer for Spezzano and Sandy on 98 PXY. BCEC has been a wonderful resource over the years. The program allowed me to receive credit for my internships, which allowed me to focus my time gaining real world experience.”
