Graphic Design Minor

Main Page Content

Graphic design is the study of design for commercial application. The visual, conceptual, and technological topics explored in the minor provides many majors with a skill set and knowledge structured to prepare and enhance them for employment, such as marketing, theater and recreation & leisure studies. It would also allow the majors in the department of communication to have an additional area of specialized study, which highly complements their majors in communication and broadcasting and journalism.

Students who wish to study the topic in more depth should consider the graphic design concentration in the studio art major.
