BLS 300 Introduction to Liberal Studies (A)

Provides a multidisciplinary overview of the Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and the Arts; introduces students to research methods including library utilization, online resources, portfolio information and writing. Prerequisite: Requires a minimum of 60 completed credits in Humanities and fine Arts, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences and Mathematics. 3 Cr. Every Semester.

BLS 400 Humanities/Fine Arts Seminar (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300 and Corequisite BLS 405.

Addresses various areas of humanities including history, literature, Philosophy, and fine arts (music, arts, theater, and dance). 3 Cr.

BLS 405 Liberal Studies Research in Humanities and Fine Arts (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300 and Corequisite BLS 400.

Introduces students to the elements of research in the humanities and fine arts resulting in a major research paper. 3 Cr.

BLS 410 Natural & Mathematical Sciences Seminar (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300 and Corequisite BLS 415.

Addresses various areas of natural science and mathematics including biology, ecology, chemistry, physics and earth sciences. 3 Cr.

BLS 415 Liberal Studies Research in Natural Science and Mathematics (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300, Corequisite BLS 410.

Introduces students to the elements of research in the natural sciences and mathematics resulting in a major research paper. 3 cr. 3 Cr.

BLS 420 Social Science Seminar (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300.

Addresses various areas of social science including economics, history, political science and sociology. Co-requisite: BLS 425. 3 cr. 3 Cr.

BLS 425 Liberal Studies Research in the Social Sciences (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300, Corequisite BLS 420.

Introduces students to the elements of research in the social sciences resulting in a major research paper. 3 cr. 3 Cr.

BLS 430 Integrating Seminar (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300, Corequisite BLS 435.

Designed to integrate learning drawn from the areas of liberal studies in the humanities, natural sciences, arts and social sciences. 3 cr. 3 Cr.

BLS 435 Liberal Studies Research Integrating (A)

Prerequisite: BLS 300, Corequisite BLS 430.

Introduces students to the elements of research integrating the areas of humanities/fine arts, natural and mathematical sciences, and the social sciences. 3 cr. 3 Cr.
