Learn the nuances of video capture and how to add quality to your course. If you have a laptop with an onboard camera, please bring it.

2 pm - 3 pm Edwards 100B OSCQR Session 2 of 6 For faculty teaching a 100% online course, the OSCQR Rubric has 50 integrated online course design and accessibility standards that help faculty provide content in a learner centered approach. The Rubric is designed to be used by instructors and instructional designers in a variety of quality assurance approaches. This session will focus on Course Technology and Tools (Standards 11-15) in an online course.

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Edwards 100B Ally Training 2 Accessibility of your online content is a serious matter. Not all students self-identify with the Accessibility Services office that they have a need, or require special services. Ally is a tool within Blackboard that gives you an indication of how accessible your content is, and directions on how to adjust that content. By making your course content accessible, you provide all students with higher quality content for increased learning potential. In this session, you will see a demonstration of what the gauges mean, and how to start working toward a more accessible course.

1 pm - 2 pm Edwards 100B Digital Measures Did you know Activity Insight is available 365 days a year? Even if you log in once a week, or twice a month between now and May for just 10 minutes, you can save yourself some unwanted headaches by entering activities such as publications, presentations, performances, creative works, research, and service activities for the department, college, and community. You also have the opportunity to upload supporting documentation. This workshop will walk you through documenting activities, and uploading supporting documentation.

The Rubric is designed to be used by instructors and instructional designers in a variety of quality assurance approaches. This session will focus on Course Design and Layout (Standards 16-28) in an online course.

1:45 pm - 2:45 pm Edwards 100B Refresh on Grade Center This hands-on workshop will teach you all of the ins and outs of the Blackboard Grade Center. In this session, you will learn how to create assignments and categories and configure percentages as well as enter grades and bonus items, including how to drop the lowest scored assignments, and configure extra credit.
