Advising and Compliance – What an advisor needs to know! - Register Online 10 am - 11 am Brown 178 In order to retain eligibility for financial aid, students must comply with numerous federal and state guidelines. This means that sometimes a student must decide whether to drop a class or try to complete it. How do you advise a student in such a case? The Excelsior Scholarship and Temporary Academic Leaves can also impact the way that you advise. The Academic Compliance Officer will provide helpful information and tell you where to refer students for assistance.

Is the Advisement Liaison Program for your department? - Register Online 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Edwards 100B The Advisement Liaison Program connects academic departments to resources in the Academic Success Center using a designated Academic Advisor. This program bridges the gap between academic and student services by communicating registration-related deadlines. It also provides DegreeWorks analysis and interpretation of Advisement and Retention policies. If your department is looking to connect with a point person in the ASC, consider the Advisement Liaison Program.
