Biography

Dr. Duru received his PhD degree in Criminal Justice at University of Cincinnati in Ohio, and joined the department in Spring 2018. Prior to the graduate school, he worked for the Turkish National Police and UN Mission in Kosovo as a police supervisor/officer. He also conducted post-doctoral research in corrections at the Harris County CSCD. His research and teaching interests include policing, terrorism, crime prevention, and quantitative methods.
