Dr. Ingrid McGuffog is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at The College of Brockport, State University of New York. She is also an Adjunct Research Fellow in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University in Queensland Australia. Dr. McGuffog has conducted evaluation research on the public health outcomes of illicit drug policy and is interested in the drug crime nexus. In the past she has worked in a private consulting firm as an evaluation scientist and has published in the fields of public health, evaluation and criminology. Her current research program is focused on the regulation of precursor chemicals and the impact of crime prevention efforts in suppressing drug supply on criminal and health behavior. She is currently developing research on college aged people's perceptions and opinions about decriminalizing cannabis and the health and other risks of illicit drug use.
