Don Halquist was a member of the Bill Evans Dance Company for 20 years, touring throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico, Finland, France, Hungary, Australia and New Zealand. He has performed as a guest artist with the New Mexico Ballet and St. Louis Dancers and in the companies of Nora Reynolds Daniel, Licia Perea, Debra Knapp and Jennifer Predock-Linnell. He has taught dance at the University of New Mexico, Santa Fe Community College and the New Mexico Ballet School. He has presented workshops and master classes at private studios, performing arts high schools, colleges and universities throughout the United States as well as parts of Canada, Europe and Mexico. He has served on the faculty of the Bill Evans Summer Dance Intensives for 17 years, teaching modern technique, repertory and pedagogy courses. He premiered his own solo concert, One Man Dancing in spring 2006. Since August, 2004, he has been a visiting assistant professor of education and human development at SUNY Brockport.
