Piano Performance with Jazz Emphasis, Lawrence University
Greg Woodsbie is a wide ranging pianist and percussionist with a highly attuned sense of story and ritual, and backgrounds in jazz, classical, and cuban music, among others. For the past decade he has been a sought after freelance dance accompanist and church musician in the Boston/Providence area. He has been a class pianist for the Boston Ballet company, and a ballet and modern accompanist at Dean College.
Greg has performed with Bill Evans, Shura Baryshnikov, and Kristina Berger. He has played masterclasses for Carolyn Adams, Stephen Rooks, Sydney Skybetter, and Heidi Henderson. Composed for choreography by Kristina Berger, Bill Evans, and Julliane O’Brien Pederson. Primary teachers include Fred Sturm and Stephen Massey.
Greg is married to Ellen, who is an architect, designing innovative schools. They have two sons, Abel, and Auggie.
