One or more student teaching candidates typically participate in this program each semester.
How do we collaborate?
While the program is well established, and a SUTEC representative serves on the SUNY Field Experience Administrators Consortium (FEAC) to provide leadership and input, collaboration is done via internet, emails, and occasional site visits by Field Experience Office staff. Placements are arranged by the SUTEC administrators on behalf of the Brockport team. College supervisors are recommended and orientations and seminars for teacher candidates are handled through SUTEC.
Assessment is conducted via Brockport's instruments and maintained in Tk20.
Traditionally a dual-placement model, Brockport candidates piloted a single placement model during the fall 2015 and spring 2016 semesters.
