What You’ll Learn

As a Social Studies Adolescence Inclusive Education Generalist major, you will delve into history from around the world, from Asia to Africa to Europe and Latin America. Along with that, you will take political science, geography, and economics courses. The curriculum will help you develop a broad knowledge base and critical thinking, research, communication, and problem-solving skills vital for classroom teachers.

In the certification program you’ll learn how adolescents learn, how to teach literacy and social studies, including to special education students, and how to manage a classroom.
