Introduction of Recipient By Dean Daniel Goebel
I am proud to introduce the School of Business and Management Outstanding Graduate Student Award Recipient, Ms. Claire Sieber. Claire is a student in the second cohort of the School’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and an outstanding representative of our graduating class.
As a young professional with an impeccable academic record and a 4.0 GPA, Claire is an exemplar student for the MBA program. After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Rhetoric and Communication at Hillsdale College in 2012, Claire has held a variety of positions in different organizations, including being a Marketing Director in Highlands Latin School, a National Account Manager in XPO Logistics, a Supply Chain Coordinator in GILT Group, an Executive Assistant in General Plating LLC, a Purchasing Team Manager in Mastodon Design LLC, and most recently a Continuous Improvement Category Manager in L3Harris Technologies.
Both of Claire’s nominators for the award described her as being exceptionally motivated, hard-working, and professional. Her marketing plan project was not only appraised by her instructor as one of the best because of its originality and comprehensiveness, but also achieved the Best Marketing Plan Award endorsed by peer students. Her project management design also achieved the highest grade in her class. She also went beyond the course work to pursue Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training. She is currently undertaking an ambitious capstone project to implement ISO certification for the supply chain system of her company by applying what she learned in the MBA classroom to develop solutions and improve existing business processes of her employer.
Through her coursework and professional experiences, Claire has proven that she has the qualities to succeed in any endeavor she pursues. We wish her all the best as she goes forward from here. Please join me in congratulating Claire Sieber.
