In order to receive scholarships with ROTC you need to contract. You can however, be offered a scholarship. But in order to begin receiving scholarship benefits you need to complete all the contracting requirements and sign your agreement.
This page is designed to show you exactly what those contracting requirements are. Below are listed all the contracting requirements. All of the contracted requirements listed below apply to ALL applicants who want a contract/scholarship with ROTC. - Pass the Army Physical Fitness Test
- Pass Army Height/Weight Standards
- Complete DODMERB
- Complete a 104-R Form
- Complete a 139-R Form
- Complete Interview with the Professor of Military Science
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or Higher
- Complete an Enrollment Package
You also need to be on track for Military Science classes. You are required to take two Military Science classes each year in college, one per semester. To see a more detailed curriculum click here.
If you entered the ROTC program your sophomore year you would need to make up ROTC classes. You can do this two ways. The first is by taking multiple ROTC classes in one semester. The second way is to attend ROTC's Cadet Initial Training (CIET) course during the summer between your Sophomore and Junior years. Click on the Cadet initial Training link to learn more about CIET.
