After nearly 75 years of making music in Brockport, the College’s symphony orchestra played its last concert in 2004 — that is, until an ambitious college freshman decided to revive the orchestra in 2010. Mr. Allentoff entered college and immediately began recruiting members for a newly revived orchestra. Under the tutelage of Dr. Bill Hullfish, Allentoff grew the orchestra from 12 members in 2010 to nearly 80 members in 2015. Under Allentoff’s baton, the orchestra has performed a range of music that includes: symphonic masterpieces, jazz standards, holiday favorites, and premier performances.

Mr. Allentoff continues to conduct and perform in Western New York. For further information, visit
