Bio: Dana Spirithes earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The College at Brockport, State University of New York in 2010. She started her nursing career in medical-surgical nursing at Rochester General Hospital. Spirithes then decided to specialize in pediatric emergency nursing and obtained a position at Golisano's Children's Hospital at Strong in the Pediatric Emergency Department in 2011.
While working at Strong she discovered her passion for teaching by working with several capstone students and precepting new nurses. She continued her education at Roberts Wesleyan College and completed a Master of Science in Nursing Education degree in 2015.
In 2015, Spirithes started working for the College as an adjunct clinical instructor. She is now a Nursing Lab Instructor and continues to practice as pediatric emergency nurse at Strong.
