"The SUNY Brockport MBA program has prepared me for multiple certifications, in addition to my MBA. In two more years, I plan to sit for the PMP, CGBP, and CMA certification exams, thanks to the extensive material exposure during the program. The MBA’s effective online, asynchronous format allowed me to study from anywhere in the world – with three visits to beautiful Rochester, New York per year. SUNY Brockport’s MBA program has educated me in many more ways than I could have dreamed of, and I am so grateful for the flexible format that seamlessly integrated with my ever-changing millennial reality. Congratulations to SUNY Brockport’s inaugural MBA graduating Class of 2020!"
Catering and Event Coordinator at SUNY Brockport
"My name is Stephanie, I’m 23 years old, and I started the MBA program right after I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Communications. I attended SUNY Brockport for my undergrad as well, so when I found out that they were offering an MBA program, I was excited to further my education at the same school that provided me with such great experiences. I work as a catering and event coordinator, where I plan and execute things like banquets, parties, and meetings. The MBA degree that I’ll receive this Spring will help further my career as a corporate event planner, or open doors for a new career path that I’m interested in, which is project management. I’m very pleased with the online MBA at Brockport and so excited to see what doors it opens for me in the future!"
Graduate Assistant, Brockport MBA Program
"I’m currently the graduate assistant for the MBA program. I found this program helped me develop my critical thinking skills the most. It’s appropriately challenging with relevant content. I loved the cohort system; it provided a sense of community that helped me get through the difficult classes. The program will help you broaden your horizons without breaking the bank!"
Digital Marketing Manager
"My name is Jake Jackson, and I’m actually just about to complete the program here at the College at Brockport. Honestly, the journey itself has been really great. I’m not going to lie though, you’re going to have to put in a lot of hours of hard work, but those hours of hard work are well rewarded throughout the program itself. I found that as I continue to advance throughout the program, I also was able to advance in my professional career. I’ve even found myself using the skills and projects I’ve picked up in the courses to use directly in my day to day life as a digital marketer. I was even able to use some of the strategies learned in our business leadership course to help me land my management position that I’m in today. With supportive professors, and strong curriculum and honestly a great price, the MBA at Brockport is a no brainer."
Director of Server and Client Solutions at Movado Group, Inc. in New Jersey
"Pursuing a master's degree had been on my mind for a number of years, so when I saw in a Brockport newsletter that they were starting an online MBA program I knew it was time for me to act. As an information technology professional for over 25 years I am always learning new technology skills, so I found the opportunity to fill in the gaps in my business knowledge with an MBA degree (especially one from my alma mater) very appealing. Now that I am nearing the end of the program I can say that it has been, without question, one of the most challenging, and rewarding tasks I have ever taken on. Getting back into the academic swing after a near 30 year hiatus really took a lot of focus and sacrifice, but I certainly have learned a great deal and have been motivated to look at I.T. related challenges from a new angle. Informed by the business and finance knowledge I have learned (e.g. lean six sigma, project management, leadership, strategy), I see the issues and challenges facing my firm and its industry in a different light. I hope and expect that this will translate into better decision making and a more strategic alignment between our I.T. department and the business."
