Curriculum
Prepare to be a competent, self-aware, and ethical generalist social worker. You'll learn the most current methods for practice across diverse settings and populations.

Admission Requirements
We recommend submitting first-year applications to SUNY Brockport in October or early November. Admission to the Social Work major requires a separate application.
Social Work Admission Requirements
Students who have been accepted to Brockport and who have earned junior status (with 54 credits earned by fall semester) can declare their intent to be a social work undergraduate major. The program offers students admission to full-time and part time students each fall. The Social Work program limits admission to approximately 85 full-time students. Acceptance by the College does not guarantee acceptance to the program. Students entering the social work major must complete three prerequisite course with a C or higher and must have a 2.5 GPA or higher to be accepted.Social Work Admissions Requirements & Application

The profession is expected to grow by 19% between 2012 and 2022. More than 650,000 people currently hold social work degrees. Social workers are even the nation's largest group of mental health service providers.
