Dear Brockport Community:
As announced earlier this week, SUNY will be requiring all students who take at least one class on campus, utilize campus services, or work on campus to be tested for COVID-19 within the last 10 days of on-campus instruction. We submitted a plan to SUNY which has now received approval, so I wanted to share what this schedule will look like at Brockport.
We will be utilizing the same process that is currently in place for our pool testing, so please check your Brockport email for your individual testing appointment. Students who are fully remote will not be tested.
Testing will take place for the following groups on the dates specified below in the SERC Field House:
Residential Students – Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday Nov. 14
Off-Campus Students – Friday, Nov. 13, Monday, Nov. 16, Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Wednesday, Nov. 18
Students who have any questions or concerns should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To accommodate this schedule, faculty and staff pool testing will be moved to Thursday, Nov. 19 during the last week of face-to-face classes. It will follow the currently established process. We apologize for any inconvenience this date change may cause and thank you for your flexibility. We are also requesting any faculty or staff who are planning to leave the area to volunteer to be tested. Please email email@example.com to arrange this.
As we know, a test only captures a snapshot in time. Please continue to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, wash your hands, and disinfect your work spaces to ensure the safety of your family and friends, the SUNY Brockport community and the communities around us.
We are in the final stretch of the face-to-face portion of our semester. Please continue to Protect the Nest. I’m truly grateful for your hard work and sacrifices.
