Holley Street Open for Weekend, Proceed with Caution, Three Day Closure Next Week

North Campus Revitalization Project Construction Alert: Holley Street in front of Tower Fine Arts Center will reopen to traffic at noon Friday 8/11 and stay open for the weekend to accommodate Brockport Arts Festival. Parking Lot G to reopen next week.

Construction work on underground utilities, crosswalks, curbs, sidewalks, and roadways progressed satisfactorily over the last several weeks. Holley Street will be open to two-way traffic starting Friday, August 11, at noon and will remain open through the weekend of Saturday, August 12, and Sunday August 13. This will accommodate traffic to the Brockport Arts Festival in the Village. Please proceed with caution — paving work is not 100% complete.

Holley Street in front of Tower Fine Arts Center will close again Monday morning, August 14, for three additional days. The final, top layer of asphalt placement remains to be done on Holley Street and at Parking Lot G. This final asphalt work is anticipated to be done Monday, August 14, and/or Tuesday, August 15, with Wednesday, August 16, as a rain date. The road detour will be back in place. Please avoid Holley Street on those three days. Weather permitting, Parking Lot G will be striped two days after the final asphalt placement, and then it will be open. Stay tuned for additional announcements. There will continue to be occasional temporary single lane closures through this area as peripheral construction work is completed over the next several weeks. Please drive with caution and be prepared to stop upon signal from traffic flaggers.

Thank you for your continued patience while we complete this critical work before the start of the fall semester. We apologize for the inconveniences to faculty, staff, and students caused by this work. Please note that much of the work for the North Campus Revitalization project is weather dependent, and this spring and summer have been exceptional for foul weather adversely affecting the schedule for outside construction work. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our Facilities and Planning Service Center at 395-2408.
