REMINDER: IMPORTANT PAYROLL YEAR-END REMINDERS AND DEADLINES
Important payroll year-end reminders and deadlines: Vacation maximums, time sheet due dates, overtime pay, W-2 and direct deposit information.
Professional UUP (non-teaching) and Professional Management Confidential (M/C):
Employees may not exceed forty days (40) of vacation as of January 1st. All vacation days in excess of forty (40) on January 1st will be forfeited. Keep in mind:
Full-time UUP and all M/C professional employees will earn a bonus vacation day on January 2, 2018. The online system will automatically add the bonus day to your accrual balances.
Employees (excluding University Police) may not exceed forty days (40) of vacation as of April 1, 2018. All vacation days in excess of forty (40) on April 1, 2018 will be forfeited.
Employees who are paid on an hourly basis must submit their timesheet for the pay period November 30, 2017 - December 13, 2017 by noon on Thursday December 14, 2017 in order to receive a paycheck on January 10, 2018. Due to the College closing, timesheets for hourly employees may be faxed to 395-5275.
To ensure the timely payment of overtime, timesheets for the November 30 - December 13 pay period must be hand delivered no later than 4PM on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Timesheets for the December 14 – December 27 pay period must be hand delivered no later than 12 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. There will be a delay in payment of overtime for any timecards received after the deadlines.
All faculty are required to complete a December attendance record. Please remember to complete your online December attendance record prior to leaving for the break, BUT no later than January 5, 2018.
All employees’ W-2 statements will be processed after the last check in 2017. Please verify that the mailing address on your pay stub is correct. If your address is incorrect, please change your address by logging into the self- service portal. The link is https://www.suny.edu/hrportal (see link below)
The college campus is closed from December 17, 2017 through January 1, 2018. Due to this closing check distribution will be delayed. Employees may wish to sign up for direct deposit to avoid a delay. Direct deposit forms (see link below) must be submitted no later than 4 pm on December 14 for the December 27, 2017 check.
