Admissions Advisor Employment Opportunity - Internal Applicants Only
The Admissions Advisor (AA) will work to achieve enrollment goals set by the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development.
Budget Title: Admissions Advisor
Minimum Salary: $44,530
Provide recruitment and admissions intake for new and continuing students.
Provide assistance in the assessment of prospective students through screening, testing and evaluating scores: TABE, CREST
Cross train with the Registrar's Office to assist with One Stop Enrollment
Provide input into Banner and scan documents into an electronic file system
Provide evening coverage - one evening per week
Provide weekend coverage for recruitment events
Participate in UCAWD directed projects as requested
Create and send out appropriate correspondence to prospective students
Provide Live Chat sessions
Participate in Career Fairs
Participate in training modules
Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Advising or a related field from an accredited US Dept of Education or internationally recognized institution
Experience as a counselor or advisor of students/clients
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Master's Degree from an accredited US Dept of Education or internationally recognized institution
Experience in a culturally-diverse environment
Knowledge and experience with Banner or a related system
Experience working with a non-traditional adult student population
