Rochester Educational Opportunity Center Annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Commemoration

REOC hosts annual tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King at 161 Chestnut Street, Rochester, on Friday, January 12.

The Annual Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC) Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration will be held on Friday, January 12, at 11 am in the REOC first floor Multipurpose Room.

Rev. Marvin McMickle, President of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, is the scheduled guest speaker. REOC students will provide interpretive excerpts from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King’s writings.

Immediately following the Commemoration, a light lunch will be served along with the showing of the PBS documentary Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise, hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Preview the documentary at the link below.
