Member Application: Rochester Urban Fellows Program
Encourage your students to apply for this summer fellowship that emphasizes civic engagement, promotes learning about urban issues, and encourages a celebration and appreciation for cross-cultural issues and urban life.
Undergraduate students attending a Rochester-area college, and natives of the Rochester area who are attending college elsewhere, are encouraged to apply to the Urban Fellows Program. The Urban Fellows Program is sponsored by the University of Rochester and is made possible with the support of the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Successful applicants will have a demonstrated interest in community or public service, urban issues, or other areas of civic engagement. Fellows receive stipends for their service with community-based organizations in Rochester.
The Urban Fellows Program is hosted at the University of Rochester. Students are provided with campus housing and group transportation during the ten-week period. The program starts in May and goes through July 2018.
