The "Confronting Racial Bias in the Professional Field" Community Conversation will be held on Thursday, March 29, from 4-5:30 pm in the Seymour College Union West Ballroom.
The upcoming Community Conversation will be held on Thursday, March 29, from 4-5:30 pm in the Seymour College Union West Ballroom. It is entitled “Confronting Racial Bias in the Professional Field” and is open to all faculty, staff, students, and community members. This Community Conversation will be a professional development collaboration with the Faculty & Staff of Color as well as representatives of various professional fields in our community. We will be discussing the different ways racial bias can negatively impact the professional field and identifying different skills/resources to combat discrimination. We hope to encourage individuals to respond proactively to bias-related incidents for themselves and others. Our goal is to empower young professionals to work together to change racial perspective in their professional field. By working together and having authentic dialogue, we can take part in Building a Better Brockport Together on campus and in future endeavors.
