Brockport’s Undergraduate Research and Internship Day filled the Union Ballroom!
Undergraduate Research and Internship Day receives great turnout and positive feedback from students, aculty, and staff.
Through the combined efforts of the Summer Undergraduate Research Committee and the Academic Internship Committee, Undergraduate Research and Internship Day on September 28 gave Brockport students the chance to hear from their peers and recent alumni about the importance and significance of experiential learning opportunities. The event’s poster session contained nearly fifty student and alumni posters, allowing these individuals to showcase their independent research projects and multidisciplinary internship experiences.
Additionally, book ending the event were well-attended presentations by Brockport alumni Clayton Brady and Agathi Georgiou, who spoke and answered student questions about their personal experiences with research, internships, and how they best used their time at Brockport to support their future endeavors.
Students who were surveyed expressed greater interest and intent regarding pursuing their own research projects and participating in an internship during their time at Brockport.
Many thanks to all of our student and alumni participants, our guest speakers Clayton Brady and Agathi Georgiou, and all Brockport faculty and staff that took the time to attend.
