United University Professions (UUP) Lump Sum Payment
The 2016-2022 Agreement between the State of New York and the United University Professions provides a $600 Lump Sum Payment for full-time employees, pro-rated for part-time employees.
To be eligible for the 2017 UUP $600 lump sum, employees must be in the UUP bargaining unit and also have a payroll status of active or leave with pay on 6/30/17 AND 10/17/18.
Part-time employees whose employment expired prior to 6/30/17 must be in the UUP bargaining unit and have a payroll status of active or leave with pay on 4/30/17 AND 10/17/18.
The lump sum payment will be included in the paychecks dated 10/31/2018.
UUP employees who wish to change their tax withholdings for the 10/31/18 check may choose from two options to do so:
1) Paperless: Submit tax changes online by utilizing the self-service portal, NYS Payroll Online (see link below). Changes in allowances for the 10/31/18 check must be made now through 10/19/18. Employees will be responsible for changing their allowances back to their normal status between the dates of 10/26/18 through 11/02/18 for the 11/14/18 check.
2) Submit paper tax forms to the Payroll Office and indicate at the top of the tax forms, “For 10/31/18 Check Only”. Completed paper tax forms must be turned in to the Payroll Office no later than 10/18/18.
