The College at Brockport, State University of New York invites applications for current and anticipated openings for Admissions Advisors. Successful candidates will support recruitment, admissions application processing, interviewing and general advisement activities.

Major Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries for information on admissions to the College and participate in call campaigns to contact students who have expressed an interest in attending the College.

• Participate in on-campus and off-campus recruitment events such as high school visits, college fairs and other various off campus meetings to promote the College.

• Review applicants' high school and college credentials and determine eligibility for admission.

• Conduct follow-up communications with applicants and organize special on-campus recruitment events.

• Travel throughout assigned territory within New York State to develop and manage relationships within the respective territory.

• Perform secondary duties such as serving as a liaison to academic and service departments on campus, supporting specific events, and/or specific student groups.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited US Department of Education or internationally recognized college or university; valid NYS driver’s license; previous admissions or recruitment experience; ability to work evenings and weekends as well as travel domestically; and, experience working with a diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited US Department of Education or internationally recognized college or university; previous SUNY experience; and, previous experience supervising staff or student employees.
