Dr. Neal Keating presents paper at the 117th Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association
Dr. Keating (Dept. of Anthropology) presented a paper on Indigenous Peoples human rights defenders, as part of a panel on "Coping Methods: Resilience and Adaptation in Times of Change," organized by the Anthropology and Environment Section of the AAA.
Dr. Keating's paper is based on his field research with Indigenous human rights activists in Cambodia, combined with research at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. The full title of his paper is "Survivance Moves in the Anthropocene: Indigenous Peoples Human Rights Defenders under Neoliberal Authoritarianism in Southeast Asia."
