Dr. Lauren Lieberman Receives a $30,000 Grant
Dr. Lauren Lieberman, Distinguished Service Professor in Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education received a $30,000 grant from the Gibney Foundation to promote soccer for individuals with visual impairments in the USA.
Dr. Lauren Lieberman and the Institute on Movement Studies for Individuals with Visual Impairments or Deaf blindness received $30,000 from the Gibney Foundation to promote Blind Soccer in the US. This grant will provide five-a-side soccer programs at Camp Abilities throughout the USA and at Brockport. This program will have a significant impact because hundreds of children with visual impairment will be able to participate and excel in this new Paralympic sport!
