SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PROGRAM 2019
The Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) is an opportunity for students to fully engage in a hands-on educational experience of scholarship, research, and creative activity with a faculty mentor.
Faculty and Students- It’s time to develop a summer research proposal. SURP supports ongoing scholarly and creative activities that exemplify learning while doing, where undergraduate students are actively engaged in discovery with a faculty mentor during the summer.
Through the generosity of the Brockport Foundation, the College sponsors student work with faculty on the mentor's research for up to eight weeks during the summer. (As part of the program, on-campus housing and a stipend for full or part time effort for up to 8 weeks is available.)
Applications will open on Friday, February 1 and are due Thursday, February 14 by 5 pm. Now is the time to identify opportunities (talk to faculty mentors!) and to learn about potential projects.
