Deadline Approaching for Student Travel Applications Spring 2019
It’s not too late to submit applications for the Student Travel Grant program.
Encourage your students to take advantage of the financial support available for the presentation of scholarly and creative work, or conference attendance and professional development.
Faculty — note that there are two application options. One for individual students and one for faculty/staff advisors who are sponsoring a group of students traveling to the same conference.
Full- and part-time students are eligible to apply. Program funds are open to both undergraduates and graduate students. There is a maximum of one travel grant award of any kind per student during a given academic year.
Spring Submission deadline is Friday, February 15 by 5 pm.
TRAVEL AWARD TYPES:
STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT TO PRESENT — awards up to $300 to reimburse eligible expenses associated with travel to present work at an academic conference. Work must contribute to the student's academic or professional development.
BSG STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT — awards up to $300 to reimburse expenses associated with travel to attend a conference. Student must be active member of a BSG club, and attendance must support student's role in the club.
BSG STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT FOR NON-CLUB MEMBERS — awards up to $300 to reimburse eligible expenses associated with travel to attend a conference. Designed to support students who are not active members of BSG clubs to travel to a conference. Attendance at the conference must clearly enhance the student’s educational pursuits at the College.
