Western New York Service-Learning Coalition Conference
March 1, 2019 8:00 am
The offices of the Provost and Community Development are pleased to sponsor faculty attendance at the upcoming WNY Service-Learning Coalition Conference being held at Hilbert College on Friday, March 1.
During the WNY Service-Learning Coalition biennial conference, we will develop a multi-answer response to the outlined questions, among others, related to successful partnerships in the service-learning and community engagement field. As a result of great partnerships, imaginative, innovative, and intriguing practices integrate service learning and civic engagement into our community to address and meet the many challenges that we face.
In a collaborative gathering of faculty, nonprofit organization leaders and professionals, higher education professionals, and students, we will provide resources and best practices to deepen the quality of partnerships, develop collaborative projects and initiatives, and define the meaning of reciprocity in the community through a combination of plenary presentations, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, and roundtable discussions. Join your colleagues to discover and share experiences and research that broaden and expand strategies.
Brockport faculty and staff who are interested in attending should contact Kim Piatt, kpiatt@brockport, by Monday, February 18.
