Dr. Afeez Hazzan, assistant professor for healthcare studies, co-authored three peer-reviewed manuscripts. Dr. Hazzan collaborated with teams of international researchers to publish three distinct peer-reviewed manuscripts. These research studies encompassed several aspects of healthcare including aging, caregiving, and childcare workers' well-being.
Results from the first manuscript indicated that the implementation of in-home IV therapy service in some long-term care homes can help prevent emergency department visits while also reducing lengths of hospital stays.
Results from the second manuscript identified factors affecting seniors' ability to self manage their health following an emergency department visit.
The third manuscript examined factors that are associated with the health status of childcare workers in southern Alberta, Canada.
