Responding to the Crisis in Health Care: Addiction, Workplace Safety (Trauma/Violence)

March 29, 2019 7:00 pm

From addiction to workplace trauma, violence, and burn out, demand that healthcare practitioners and health care administrators focus conversations and resources collectively in innovative ways to yield different, and hopefully better, results.

The purpose of this program is to dive deeply into a few of these emergent "hot topics" to explore ways in which we respond proactively to influence positive change within our community. From nursing to secretary positions in healthcare, burn-out is shown to be affecting everyone. Individuals coming into the healthcare fields need to know how to effectively take care of themselves while also knowing how to deal with others and problems within the community involving addiction, violence, etc.
