A representative from New York State Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) will be on campus April 11, 2019. Please see complete story for details.
On April 11, 2019, An ERS representative will be hosting a retirement presentation. Participants will learn the critical elements involved in the calculation of their pension benefit, what they can do to maximize these benefits, and obtain information on how and when to contact ERS to obtain their specific information.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions related to pension benefits during and after the presentation. In addition to a verbal and PowerPoint presentation, they will also receive a guide that covers pension information in more detail.
The presentation will be held in the Seymour Union, room 114 from 9:00 – to 10:30 am. To attend the ERS presentation, employees must register through Quickreg by April 5, 2019 (Link Below)
The ERS representative will also be conducting one-on-one consultations. They will be able to provide information specific to the members' individual retirement benefits equivalent to traveling to Albany for a consultation. You must be within 5 years of retirement eligibility or age 50 or older to be eligible for a consultation. You should bring your latest member statement and any recent correspondence you would like to discuss. There are limited available appointments and appointments are first come first serve. You can bring a visitor to this consultation.
