Dr. Susan Lowey, Associate Professor in Nursing was selected to participate on two national committees.

Dr. Susan Lowey, Associate Professor in Nursing was recently selected to participate on two national committees. The first committee is the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Annual Assembly Strategic Workgroup. The second is the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association Clinical Practice Forum Conference Planning Committee.

The aim of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Annual Assembly Strategic Workgroup is to identify and prioritize opportunities and the direction of future Annual Assembly meetings. The work of this committee will result in a comprehensive analysis of the Annual Assembly, and recommend opportunities for innovation and improvement that will position the Assembly to meet the evolving needs of learners and the field.

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) Clinical Practice Forum Conference Planning Committee will assist with closing the professional practice gap, facilitate learner engagement, fostering learner outcomes, and driving quality improvement in palliative nursing to amplify HPNA's mission to advance expert care in serious illness.
