Citation Help for Students
If the students in your class are struggling to understand why citation matters, or need help with the intricacies of APA, MLA, or Chicago, the library has some online resources that could help!
Students often don’t understand why they are citing in the first place, and that creates a mental block for them as they try to work through creating their own citations for an assignment, no matter what style they’re using.
The library subscribes to online modules for Information Literacy skills, including citation. There are videos, tutorials, and quizzes to check for understanding about APA, MLA, and Chicago styles.
If you are using a different style, such as AJPE, CSE, or MSSE there is a video and interactive tutorial about why citation matters that can get students started on the right foot.
If you are interested in giving your students access to any of these modules, copy and paste the link below into an email or Blackboard content.
Students should never struggle for more than 10 minutes with their research. Please encourage your students to use our Ask a Librarian services for help with research and citation.
