Please Support the Lavender Ceremony by Attending and/or Sending a Positive Message!
May 3, 2019 4:00 pm–5:30 pm
Please attend the Lavender Ceremony on Friday, May 3 to support our graduating LGBTQIA+ students and their allies! If you can't make it, please send them a message to be shown during the reception!
The College's First Annual Lavender Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 3 at 4 pm in the Seymour College Union Ballroom.
A Lavender Graduation or Lavender Ceremony is an informal graduation ceremony held by colleges to honor and celebrate their LGBTQIA+ students and Allies. This event is not meant to replace commencement, but to compliment it. It is a time to celebrate the student's accomplishments and contributions to the university.
All students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and family are invited!
Whether you can make it or not to the ceremony, please consider completing the Positive Message form where you'll be able to send a brief message to all, or specific, graduate(s) to be shown during the reception.
