Dr. Keating presented his current work on language ecologies at Syracuse University and at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
Dr. Keating is currently researching language ecologies of the Anthropocene, focusing on the transnational diasporic dynamics of an endangered Austroasiatic language spoken by Bunong Indigenous peoples, whose homelands include the highlands of central Vietnam and northeastern Cambodia, and whose diasporas have brought them to the United States. He presented his work at Syracuse University on March 6 and at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill on April 17.
