Brockport a Member of Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA)
Individual faculty and student can join CARMA at no additional cost to enjoy video library access to hundreds of research method lectures, live streaming access to methods webinars, and attend in-person method courses at a member discounted rate.
Brockport is now an institutional member of the Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA). Thanks to the financial support of CELT, all Brockport faculty and students are able to register for an individual membership at no additional cost to enjoy three main benefits provided by CARMA.
1. Video library access to hundreds of research method lectures on a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as applications of statistical software.
2. Live streaming access to research method seminars provided by experts around the world. Upcoming seminar topics include longitudinal SEM, adapting scales, grounded theory/discourse analysis, and ethics and research methods.
3. Attending short courses on research methods at a member discounted rate. These courses are typically two or two and a half-day in-person sessions. The upcoming summer session is scheduled in June in Detroit covering topics on R and data analysis, statistical learning, structural equation modeling, Web scraping, survey research, meta-analysis, qualitative research method, and grounded theory method, etc.
